Who we are

Key1 Capital is a global investment firm focused on growth technology companies.

In forming Key1 Capital, the founders assembled a world class team of investment and operating professionals to work closely with promising global winners. The team has led the largest and most complex transactions in Israel and backed many of the preeminent technology companies which came out of the country.

Key1 Capital helps companies scale revenue faster, acquire first class managerial talent, pursue inorganic growth, execute larger and more complex financings, and prepare for and see through the ultimate exit.

Amit Pilowsky

Amit Pilowsky

Co-Founder, Managing Partner

Amit is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Key1 Capital.

Prior to founding Key1 in January 2022, Amit held various leadership roles at Goldman Sachs in both Tel Aviv and London offices, from February 2005 to May 2021, including Head of Consumer and Retail team at the Cross Markets Group in EMEA and as head of Food, Beverage and Food Ingredients in EMEA. 

Amit also serves as a member of the board of directors of Nomad Foods (NYSE: NOMD), and Movendo Capital, a Netherlands-based registered investment company. He also serves as a board member of the Israeli Center on Addiction, a non-profit organisation.

Amit served in the Israeli Air Force from July 1993 to January 2004, retiring as a Major.

Amit holds an MBA degree from INSEAD, France.

Danny Akerman

Danny Akerman

Co-Founder, Managing Partner

Danny is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Key1 Capital.

Prior to founding Key1 Capital, Danny spent 10 years at Goldman Sachs in its Tel Aviv office, where he initially led the company’s origination and execution of TMT investment banking advisory work and subsequently headed its investment banking practice.

During his tenure, Danny covered hundreds of public and private companies, focusing on sell-side and capital raising advisory work.

Danny was also instrumental to Goldman’s success in investing in Israeli technology companies.

Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Danny worked for JPMorgan and Credit Suisse in NY in their Financial Institutions Groups, leading complex advisory projects for insurance companies, banks and specialty finance companies.

Danny also worked at AIG in NY and launched and managed AIG’s Commercial Lines Department in Israel.

Danny was previously the Israeli national champion and an All-American in gymnastics.

Danny earned an MBA from Columbia Business School in 2003, and a BBA from Temple University’s School of Business in 1997.

Sarel Eldor

Sarel is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Key1 Capital.

Prior to founding Key1 Capital, Sarel was the CEO of Goldman Sachs Israel and Head of the firm’s Growth Markets Financing Group in London. Sarel first joined Goldman Sachs in New York in 2001 in its Financing Group and relocated to Tel – Aviv in 2007 to open its Israel office.

In his role in Israel, Sarel has spent the last 15 years leading and building the preeminent international finance franchise in Israel across investment banking, securities and asset management. Sarel was responsible for the most innovative and complex advisory, financing and investing in Israel across multiple industries and products.

As Head of the Growth Markets team in London, Sarel was responsible for building out and managing multiple regional teams across numerous countries focused on financing and risk management solutions for the leading sovereign, corporate and investment firms in CEEMEA.

Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Sarel was an IT engineer in Phillips Medical systems in Israel and the US.

Sarel was a Captain (Ret.) in the Israeli Military.

Sarel earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2002, and a B.Sc. from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology in 1999.

Adi Harari

Adi Harari

Chief Financial Officer

Adi is the Chief Financial Officer of Key1 Capital.

Prior to joining Key1 in July 2022, Adi served as Managing Director in E&Y.

Adi has over 15 years of extensive experience in providing audit, tax, and consulting services mainly for private equity funds and real estate funds.

Adi has worked with the largest VC funds in Israel, such as: JVP, Viola Credit, TLV, Qumra, Vertex Israel, Red Dot, Glilot, Israel Secondary and dozens of VC firms.

Adi holds BA in Economics and Accounting from Bar-Ilan University and MBA from Tel Aviv University.

Nessim Boucai

Principal

Nessim is a Principal at Key1 Capital.

Prior to joining Key1 in June 2022, Nessim was a senior VP at Citi Israel, where he spent over 10 years advising Israeli companies on a wide range of investment banking transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, and other equity and debt capital markets transactions. 

Prior to Citi, he worked as an analyst at Société Générale’s European equity syndicate desk, and served in the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit.

Nessim holds an MBA, from the Technion Institute of Technology, Israel, and a Master of Finance from ESCP Business School, France.

Aner Levkovich

Aner Levkovich

Vice President

Aner Levkovich is a Vice President at Key1 Capital.

Prior to joining Key1 in March 2022, Aner served as a Business Management Consultant at BCG, in Tel Aviv and as an Investment Banker at JP Morgan in New York.

Aner has extensive experience in both the consulting and investment banking fields.

Aner holds a Master of Financial Mathematics from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), US, and a bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Economics from Tel Aviv University, Israel.

Investment Professional

Tomer Dvir is an Investment Professional at Key1 Capital.

Before joining Key1 in August 2022, Tomer gained experience in the entrepreneurship, technology, and venture capital fields.

Tomer served as a Company Commander in the IDF Special Forces, retiring as a Captain.

Tomer holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Business Management from Reichman University, Israel.

Liat is the Office Manager of Key1 Capital.

With 20 years’ experience in office management, Liat brings extensive experience in office operations and administration, project management, events organization, human resources and logistics management. 

Liat holds a BA degree in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University, 2010.

Venture Partner

Itzik is a Venture Partner at Key1 Capital.

Prior to joining Key1, Itzik was a General Partner at Battery Ventures. Itzik has over 20 years of extensive and broad experience leading technology investments and mentoring entrepreneurs. His particular areas of focus include infrastructure software, application software and consumer technology.

He is the current and former board member of 12 Israeli technology companies including Minute Media, Gong.io, Cheq, Zerto, Sisense, LightCyber and XtremIO.

Itzik is a Computer Science, Math, graduate from the Weizmann Institute of Science.

Boaz Chalamish

Boaz is a Venture Partner at Key1 Capital.

Boaz has held senior leadership roles in Israeli and international technology companies for over 18 years. He has extensive experience in infrastructure and enterprise software, storage, and cybersecurity.

He is the Chairman of the Board and former CEO of Clarizen, was a former SVP and GM at VMware and HP, and a former SVP R&D at Mercury Interactive (acquired by HP).

Boaz holds an MBA from Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management.

Sanjiv is a Venture Partner at Key1 Capital.

Sanjiv serves on the Board of BankUnited, Inc. where he Chairs the Audit Committee.

Sanjiv served at several preeminent Wall Street firms including most recently as Senior Advisor at Credit Suisse. During a career spanning more than 35 years, he has served as a key advisor to management teams and boards on strategic business combinations and critical capital markets transactions. Prior to Credit Suisse, he was a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns and has also worked at Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers and JP Morgan

Sanjiv holds a Ph.D. in Finance and an MBA from The Wharton School and a BA in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi.

Eran is the Chief Strategy Officer at NEXT Insurance.

Eran has held various executive roles in high tech for over 20 years and has led 45 M&A transactions. Eran was Executive VP of Marketing and Corporate Development at NICE. Eran also held strategy, marketing and product positions at Mercury, Tower Semi, and was a co-founder of digiGroups.

Eran holds a doctorate from Stanford Business School and BSc from the Technion.
